Bello Music Enterprises presents the 1st Annual Southern California Mambo Conference on August 25th & 26th, 2001!!! The primary focus of the Conference is dancing On 2. With that in mind those dancers from novice to advanced will evolve in their dancing to better synchronize and become one with the rhythms in salsa music. Over 25 workshops, each 1½ hours in duration, will cover topics ranging from: Salsa Music, Rhythm, Phrasing & Timing (listening, dancing and feeling the Clave) to Dance Contest Choreography; the roots of salsa, like Son, to Styling; Cha Cha Cha to Casino Rueda; Mambo Fun-damentals to the technique of Precision Spins & Turns and much more! There also will be a panel discussion with a question & answer period on the Evolution of Mambo in the West Coast. Three levels of instruction (beginner, intermediate and advanced) will be presented simultaneously by some of the most seasoned instructors of the salsa/mambo genre.

Mike Bello, the Mambo Fello

Mike Bello, the Mambo FelloThe following year after arriving in Los Angeles from New York, Mike Bello recruited several of L.A.'s best dancers and formed the first ever Salsa/Mambo on 2 dance group in L.A. that included the Mambo Men and the Mambo Squad. He spent hundreds of hours training them in the highly syncopated shine routine that he choreographed and which they performed in the Hollywood Palladium for the Galavision sponsored International Salsa Festival as well as in the Hollywood Park Casino for the West Coast Salsa Congress.

A dedicated teacher who espouses connection to the rhythm of Salsa music with his signature AOTC, or "Always On The Clave," Mike really cares about giving his students a sense of respect for dancing to the music!
